Low humidity, IS it bad?

hello forum members,

I have a question that has me concerned that I can not find a definitive answer to just vague information on.

I am to understand that MJ grows best between 40 an 60 % humidity. however my G.Room stays around 36%humidity with a temp of 86.... the heat im fine with since I have done enough research to understand that anything 75-85 is optimal grow temps. However, not alot of info exist on the "danger zone" of humidity. I know that 20% is stomata lock down an the plant cant breath, and 40% up to 60% is "Optimal" however the 30-40% range is where my kids are playing right now, an I am just concerned for them :weed:. Is the 35-40% humidity range anywhere near bad? is 35-38% good for growth, breathing and all other plant functions?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this.

Damp towels work quite well too but dry out a little too fast.

Something else which works quite well is to have a fan blowing at a bucket of water and place a piece of material as a wick in the bucket.

The more surface area the water has the better it will evaporate into the air with a fan on it.

Good point. A sponge floating in a bucket works great at transferring moisture to the air too.
