low wattage hps

i found a very cheap hps light fixture but its only takes a 70 watt bulb, will this work

I would pass on that.... seems like a waste of $$$. At that wattage your better off with a ton of CFLS.

i agree. for some reason you get more out of cfl's as compared to a 70w, which ive seen a few giving off only 5000-6000 lumens when your standard hps 400w bulb gives 50,000 lumens.

i wouldn't go for anything lower then a 250w hps
