Okay, so this is my first grow, and I got this plant half started from someone else. I provided the seeds, they just provided the original grow spot for the first 4 weeks.
Anyway, it was not a very ideal setup they had, and I finally got mine set up, which isn't great by any means. But I am noticing the lower leaves on the plant are turning yellow/brown, are very dry and actually parts flake off if you touch them. It looks like the life is being sucked out of them honestly.
The person who started them watered them every morning, and was under 18/6 lighting and like 1.5ft from the light, although I am unsure of what bulb was used. Today will be the first day they are going under my cfls, at about 4'' from the bulb to start.
Regular water has been used, and they were started in the same soil he uses for all the vegetables he grows for his garden.

/e Okay I just replanted it in a container like 5x the size it was previously, hopefully that'll help the roots spread out more and it'll grow nicer.
