Lower leaves dying - normal?

As you can see from the picture, i've got a reasonably sized female that I'm hoping isn't TOO far from harvest, but a recent change has caused me some concern. While the top of the plant and the bud producing growths appear to be healthy, some of the lower leaves appear to be dying off, and the leaves in general seem to be drooping a bit. I was hoping to find out if things are going relatively normally (an experienced friend told me not to get too worried, but I figured I can get better info here), and if not, what I can do to improve her health. Thanks a lot.

Hopefully it's not too far away? Why? There's no good bud on it! how far into flowering is it? 10 days or so? Also what kind of lights are you using and how far away are they? They plant looks spidly and the lower leaves are probably dieing off due to lack of light.

Hopefully not too far because I've never done this before and I like the idea of successfully completing my first grow....You're correct in that it isn't terribly far into the flowering stage.

For the majority of the plant's early light it was under a CF, but it's now under a 250w MH lamp about 18" about the plant. As for the possibility of the lower leaves dying off due to poor light penetration, I'm assuming that this isn't going to do anything drastic, like kill the plant?

I apologize for my ignorance here, please bear with me as a first timer. I appreciate any advice i can get. Also, the other reason for its thinness (at least from what I understand) is that I did not have a fan or anything on it as it grew, a mistake I'll obviously fix next time around.

Again, I know I'm ignorant here, so any advice is appreciate. Thanks

See if you can rig up some more CFLs for side lighting. Especially the Warm colored lights as they have more of a reddish spectrum which is needed during budding. MH lights are great for veg as they produce alot of cooler blue light, but they're not ideal for bud development. If you can get more CFL's around the sides it will help the lower bud sites thrive

That is due to lack of light. My pants have done the same thing in this current grow. The got so tall, the light can't reach the bottom 1/4 of the plant, therefore the leaves start to die off. No big deal, the plant can focus more on the buds.
