Lowes 65w (300 Equivalent) CFL

Does anyone know what the Color Temp of those 65w CFL bulbs from lowes. They are huge, and i know the company that makes them is actually a branch of lowes products (kinda like the Albertsons brand Orange Juice). Anyways I lost the box and its a 300w incandescent equivalent. How many plants would that grow if I used 4 of those btw

and the Lumens as well please. I cant find it anywhere online

I think i might go pick up some..But i noticed that the base looks bigger do you need a special socket??

For that one I have no Idea, thats not the one, mines a spiral style, but for mine no it uses a regular socket. I should of saved the box... damnit

They are a low kevin bulb. Mostly for BLOOMING or FLOWERING.
Kelvin is a measure of temperature, as in 5100K or 2700K (this is the emitter temperature, not the actual temperature of the bulb itself), and it refers to the color of the bulb; 6500K being a blue light spectrum, and the 2700K being a red spectrum. Plants like a predominately blue spectrum during their vegetative growth and like red spectrum light during flowering. Together the 6500K and 2700K provide a dual, or complete spectrum, suitable for all plants during all phases of growth.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO GROW ONE PLANT WITH ONE LITTLE 26 WATT CFL BULB, I;'ve seen them here on RIU. But, the more watage,the more lumens, and the more lumens, the FASTER and BETTER they grow.
I use 4 65s, 4 85s, and 4 105 watt CFLs on an average of 8 plants and they grow SUPER FAST, with a low electric bill and very little heat.

The 65 watt sylvania bulb I used to rock was 4100k color temp, which is bad, like driving your car in neutral is how I heard it described. If its a daylight, or 6500k it will work great for veg, if its 2700k or warm white it will work great for flower. I think 1 65 watt per plant would get you some real dense nuggz. Oh and if you have to choose between daylight and warm white to use for your whole grow, choose warm white, they're better for flower production. A mix of both would work best though.

This lamp is rated at 2700k, 3900 lumins, the info is on the box.

Thats what i got! Its it enough for 1 plant. 45w 6500K 2 x 23 2700k and 65w 2700k

well cfls are great as far as price and power usage on a small scale however if you do the math it would take roughly 12 of those 65watt cfls @ 3900 lumens to equal the lumen output of a 400w hps not to mention if you wanted to equal the lumen output of an hps those 12 cfls @ 65watts you would be pulling roughly 780watts for the same lumen output as a 400 watt hps my advice just buy one of those mh/hps combo ipower systems off of amazon they seem like the best deal. another difference would be the heat the 400w hps will be much hotter then the cfls but heat is easy to deal with and if your worried about the elec company reporting power useage to the 5-0 go with hps instead of those cfls they have air cooled hoods so heat is no prob

you can easily grow with just one of those you just have to keep your plants short and if you want to grow bigger plants then you need more bulbs toput around the plant, and you can just go to any store and buy 45w bulbs and those would do the job as well, even 23w are great cause you can spread light more evenly around the plant, and you can keep them very close

2700k 4200lumz and as far as how many plants all depends on the size of the grow area. Smaller area and the light is more utilized open area and it is able to just runaway a lot of people say 50 watts per plant but really it should be done is cubic feet if you threw one of those bulds In a microwave and grew in there that's plenty!!! But a dresser not enought with cfls its how well the light is utilized and placed cfls are great lights and was tested they have more light intecety and useable light for plants then a hps watt for watt IF the cfl is 1 inch away and used properly and tbh I believe it HIDS have to be very far away compared to a cfl and with the hid you lose 1/3 to 1/2 the lumuns. Depending on your hood. But HIDS are way less work!!!

I've got a few of em...they work well....Walmart has a 55 Watt =200 that's a lil cheaper....only $9....the one at Lowes is 16$....same spectrum....home depot has the best selection..all size bulbs n specs....
