Lowryder #2 ScrOG

Hello. I've not grow anything for a few years now, previously grown NL#5, Afghan and widow, all ScrOG under 220w of CFL.
Need some decent buds as all the taxi driver knobheads around here seem to think that 2g for £20 is all good.
I'm giving an autoflower a go, Lowryder #2 from Jointdoctor.
I know I won't get a huge yeild off this, just thought I'd give it a go (plus I need some buds ASAP!!)
I'm ScrOGing it cos this is how I've grown all my buds in the past, plus I've read that Lowryder #2 responds well to LST, I can't be arsed with al that tying down and stuff so I'm lietting the ScrOG screen do it for me for the first 7-10 days after the flowers have shown until the screen fills up.

Here they are day of planting, they're under jam jars as the crazy weather has made it 37 C in my roof and i didn't want them to dry out whilst germinating

Tech stuff- got a 4" inline fan with charcoal filter, 4 x 55w 840 white CFL, using BioBizz rootjuice (from week 2 3ml/l) and bloom (from day 23 3ml/l), planted in 1/3 perlite 2/3 seed and cutting compost. Area of grow 3.45 sq feet, my lights kick out 19200 lumens so thats 5565 per sq foot. After this grow I'm adding 3 40w CFLs inbetween the 55w strips to give a wattage of 340w, 29670 lumens giving 8600 lumens per sq foot

Cheers peeps. It's day 28 today, they've been showing flowers for a week now and all the new growth has gone from opposite to alternating branches.
I'm gonna give it 3 or so days then stop poking them under the screen, and let em bud proper

I've found a 2x55w CFL ballast at work, well it's one of my office lights so I've swapped it for a couple of normal screw in fittings...no one will use it until the winter when it gets dark in the evenings heh he he
I'm gonna try n fit it and two 55watters in to my canatronics growlight during the 6 hour dark period... looks to be a fucker to dismantle but I think I've workied it out.
That's give me 330w over 3.45 sq foot (8350 lumens per sq foot...not far off the sun!)

Day 35, lots of flowering tops due to the scrog. There's two that I've had to lst today (day 36) cos they've got too tall. I'll be fitting the extra 110w of lights on Monday, using 2g11 827 which are 2700k to help the flowering along.
The other lights are 835 which is 3500k.

Cheers HippySmoke, glad you're enjoying my grow.
I've added two 3000k 55w CFLs to the reflector, the others are 4000k (not 3500k as previously stated)
This is giving me 330w in a small area, less than 3 and a half sq feet so hoping for some tasty buds.
Once this lot has cropped I'm thinkin of getting 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering, it'll cost quite a lot for all these CFLs - about £60, does anyone know if it'll really make a difference with autoflowering varieties? I'm growing Easyryder next (Lowryder #2 x AK47)
Cheers for any advice on this +rep to peeps checking my grow!

I'm not sure you can get them outside the UK, they're manufactured by canatronics a british company.

http://www.hydroponics.co.uk/Starlite-Digital-Product-731.html

They're designed just for clones and mother plants, but give off a lot of light. In 3.45 sq ft ScrOG I get 140-170g (5-6oz), tho this time I'm doing an autoflower so I think that the yeild will be around the 4 oz mark.
you could make you own light relatively easily, here's the electrics that you'd need -

2 x 55w ppl CFL ballast http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=searchProducts&searchTerm=ballast+2x55w&x=0&y=0

2 x 2g11 CFL fluorescent light holder http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=0170979

2 x 2g11 support clip http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=0170985

solid core copper wire (don't try to use normal wire - it won't work) - the cheapest option is to get some of the cable used to wire up plug sockets in a house, this should be solid core - split it open to get the individual SHEATHED wires. Obviously don't use if it ain't sheathed.

The wiring diagram should be on the back of the ballast. When making your reflector remember that the lights get pretty hot.

Good luck!
