lst/pinching 20 days veg opinions

So I've been looking around the site and found out about lst and all that jazz. And all my plants have giant fan leaves so at first I tried moving the fan leaves so I didn't have to cut them but the small new growth still gets blocked. So I went ahead and on my smaller plant( which has been wilty since day one I just cut all the bigg bottom wilty fans so the new growth can come in good(is this a good idea?) Also I have a plant that was just shooting up really high also with big fan leaves( I trimed one set of fan leaves from this plants about a week ago) but decided to tie down the bottom 8 smaller colas cuz they were reaching fro the light blocking stuff. So idk I'm just trying things. Need some opinions to see if this is ok. And how long should I do this before setting them to flower, cuz one plant is getting quite big and I have small space. Just got transplanted to 3 gallon buckets 2 or 3 days ago and I can already see the roots coming out again. One is going so slow the other is beasting out. They all have tops, but I pinched the main stems. That's what I did with the biggest and it looks great. Soil-ffof, no nutes, water maybe once every four days, 150 watt hps.
First 3 pics are of the wilty one before I cut the fans off. Next 2 are after I trimmed fans for inner growth to happen. Next 3 are me tying down just the bottom part of this plant. And I pinched the tops on both of these. Just today. And last pic is my baby beast purp plant. 20 days into veg. Sorry if I post in multple forums my phone sucks

Hope all those pics work.

I would pinch the branches rather than the main stem and lst the whole plant, like tying it on the top and bottom, that will keep it shorter and more bushy with less stress on the plant.
