LST When Flowering

I've read some say it's okay early in flowering and I'm only 3 days in but 2 plants have stretched 4 inches or more above the rest so I just tied them over to even out the canopy.

This going to cause any shock? I didn't snap their neck or anything, just a firm curve. They are just stretching and still rubbery so I just went as far as I dared with them.

Just don't want to shock them, they haven't even shown sex yet so technicallly it isn't even flowering, just the 3rd day of 12/12.

I think you should be fine... Expect more stretch though. I'd say plants usually stop stretching around 2 weeks into flower... But eh. I've seen way worse shit happen then a little LST early on. Good luck!

Yeah, didn't take 2 hours for them to turn their tops toward the light a bit. Going to be some last minute struggling to LST when I should have done it before. Had no idea these 2 plants would grow 4 inches in a day...

have you ever tried supercropping? it works great for plants that are needing to be more lateral, this also helps the middle of the lower part of the plant receive light that would otherwise be shaded by the branches. but im definitely a fan of the lst techniques as well.. just thought id throw that out there. peace

I looked into it, but this is my first major grow.. so one thing at a time! I may still if they prove unwieldy over the next couple of days. I just didn't want to shock them or anything.

i'm no pro. but i have been successful topping during the first week of flower. now nearly three weeks in, where i topped ( one only this grow - test ) i now have two bud sites.
i know it isn't LST'ing, but i could only imagine that actually cutting the top off being more stressful than a little LST.
