What is the best for LST? I used a roll of twist ties and hemp twine currently.

Where did you find them? I was thinking something like that would be easier than twist ties

I use thin cotton string, tie one side around a branch and the other side to a zip tie which is zipped up to a pole...everyday i tighten the zip tie a couple notches...it tightens the rope which pulls the branch further down

Dunno about the best, but ^ is similar to what I use. Very cheap, easy to tie and untie (no need to tighten knots).
