Lumatek lk1000ac

Anybody know why these have been discontinued? Was about to put thru another bulk order, and not only can I not find hardly any, but all the main distributors are saying they are discontinued by the manufacturer. I have a ton and would love to know what happened. Of course I can't get a hold of a rep anytime soon. Lol

they just change the looks and some times the quality. I have read the air cooled ones are not as much good as the non vented ballasts . less par . I would say that ballast is average

I have both the cooled and non cooled, I would say that the non cooled have lasted me a little longer than most of the cooled versions. I would probably chalk it up to an update as well. Will be calling vendors today to see what I can dig up.

one ballast I would like to try is the . hortilux platinum or the badass . they both have square wave instead of the high frequency . square way is proven to be the best but costs a bit more. not to change your topic . I have used many non sealed lumitek was very happy

After talking to quite a few reps, I've come to the conclusion that Lumatek and Galaxy have both just kind of shit the bed. amazing how the mighty can fall. Looks like I'll be going with the Phantoms II. They seem to have very reliable customer support. Too bad. The old un fan cooled Lumatek's have been the most reliable, having some for over 5 years now. The fan cooled versions however seem to last less than 2. Hopefully these new Phantoms will be worth it in the long run.
