why not allow lurkers - don't understand your complaint really, Parker : if the lurkers bother you and make you feel uncomfortable, you can always leave : you're safe, surely ...

true. lurkers should be allowed to lurk.
Lurkers are always around in all forums, but I haven't encountered this proportion. I ventured into the toke n talk forum and found a lot of chill people and decided to join. Of course for different people it takes a different amount of time to decide what's right, but I joined afte rone day of lurking and watching the threads. I spend most of my time in toke n talk and hallucinatory substances as I live in a dorm and can't grow/smoke, and also I am quite interested in hallucinogens. But anyways, I fel I found my niche in internet drug user forums.

it is a pretty average proportion to me . . . . people are too lazy to make an account most of the time.

and for all you know, half of those lurkers could have an account, just simply not logged in.

either way it's kind of odd that we have that many lurkers . . . . I would say it's because of people googling info about growing and weed in general...

That's my theory, but seriously. Grasscity comes up before us in most google searches. If they're not joined there, join here, lurkers. I never really respected you poplars, maybe because we're not on the same wavelength, but this post provided some insight, even on an insignificant topic.

hah, yeah I can be pretty baffling/frustrating to people who aren't on my wavelength, or so to speak. oh well, can't help the way I am.

I came here from googling a plant question, and if I need to search this site I use google since it always seems to come up first for me. So would make sense to me if thats where alot of lurkers are from..

Meh.

Lurker does not participate in normal forum discourse, but he's out there...watching, reading every message. Generally, he is quite harmless. In fact, his silence usually reflects a natural reticence rather than any sinister motives. He is content to let the other people haul the conversational freight and, if a fight breaks out he will observe quietly. Occasionally, however, some mysterious impulse drives him to de-lurk and attack. Other Warriors regard his unexpected assault as an ambush, and invariably turn on him savagely. But Lurker seldom sticks around to fight it out, rather, after a brief exchange, he slips away, never to be heard from again.
