Hey guys!

I am a Java developer and I have started growing for a year now and 3 months ago I have bought a Bava 240W grow light on AliBaba.

Since then it become a bit a hassle to adjust the lights and I decided to develop an Android App to make things easier for my self.

I also published the app to Play Store, I would glad if you can try and submit me feedback especially if you have expensive sensors to test accuracy
Of course reviews on store would be highly appreciated :)

nice I just downloaded it. works good so far! ive only tested this on my veg Vesta fixture as i am in process of rebuilding my grow. i got bt 2-300 ppfd which is what i expected. I dont have an apogee to compare but converting lux myself this seems right.. ill try it under some qb288s tonight.

really cool that you added the option to swap spectrums and cri to match as close as possible. I am assuming this is based off of Migros conversion formulas he posted a while back? had same idea but no time so I am just happy someone else had same idea and actually did it. big respect! the DLI is an added bonus. really nice to have that as well.

Par meter for under 500 but over 100

I’m done being cheap, couldn’t bring myself to use the apps or buy a cheapo lux meter. Right now I only have white leds between 3k-4k. But I will have my reds/and later different color leds on my boards

I just got my qb fixtures plugged in and did some spot readings. my boards are 3000k 80cri i didnt see that as an option so I just used 3500k. numbers seemed spot on!

I havent looked at the app but all lux to ppfd conversions are dependant of spectrum. A 4000k 70cri may score much higher than a 2700k 90cri in lux but with the same ppfd. Generally when going from a 80cri spectrum to a 90cri spectrum (very generally cause there are many ways to do this) you gain maybe 15% extra ppfd for the same lux and same K-value.

hes got a drop down to switch between light sources with a ton of different LED combos of CRI and color, as well as MH and HPS options.

It' been 1 week since app published on Play Store.

First, update released on Google Play Store,

I have added an option to customize PPFD & DLI Threshold values as well as some cosmetic updates.

The app appears pretty accurate I tested the app against the Apogee par meter.
I put both the app - which is on a Samsung tablet - and apogee par meter under 2
x citizen 1212 cobs 3500K.
I tried to get the sensors the same distance and spot under the light as best as possible.

@groweee What about adding a "pause" button to freeze the reading on the screen?
That way if yer leaning over to take a reading in say the far corner of a tent you can't really see the screen. So you could hit the pause button which holds the reading on the screen until you can get a better look at it.
There is an app called Light Meter by Keuwlsoft on playstore that has that facility. Check it out.

Thank you for the app. I am an avid outdoor grower but am trying my hand at indoor growing.

I'm sure as soon as I can figure out what drop down I am supposed to pick for my light I will enjoy using it.

Any help on that?

i made a quick test on a samsung s8 vs a spectromaster c7000 and the readings with the app are quite low compared to what the spectrometer shows.
its almost half of what it should be, can it be that the results are quite phone type related?
i measured 3000k with 660nm reds, so there was no exact preset fiting,
