My first grow is finishing up and went well with 50/50 soil/perlite. I've done some research lately and really like the concept and potential yields from making the switch to hempy so I figured I'd give it a try.

Skywalker OG Kush - Reserve Privada (fem)
5 gallon buckets
3 to1 Perlite/Vermiculite media
GH 3 part nutes @ 1/2 strength with 1tsp per gallon of Epsom salt.
PH 5.8

Just transplanted from soil tonight.
3 1/2 and 1 1/2weeks old.
This will also be my first attempt at mainlineing. They will be in a 4x4 with 2 - 600w hps
Any suggestions are appreciated.

good luck with your grow, i tried hempy once or twice, but had a hard time with seedlings and getting the water levels just right..

I started with hempy and did it a few years. When they were little I would tip it a bit to dump the res mostly out after watering until they got a bit bigger and the roots hit the res or else it just sits there each watering. The verm holds water for a bit so watch for overwatering.

No need for verm in your hempys, use perlite only.Keep it simple and it's a good way to grow.
