magnifying glass

looking for a good magnifying glass,about 20-40x.. i think that would help me monitor the progress of plant.
went to radio shack, lowes..didnt find one..
can anyoen recommend.

Might try looking on e-bay, i've heard you can find them there for relatively cheap...

A jeweler's loupe works great, and the thing people use to look at film slides too.


get a eye loop they use for looking at 35mm slides for cheap

seemingly as always roseman is spot on!go back to radio shack an pic up thier magnifier.it works.but you must snip a lil piece off an set it on a table.you will not be able to keep ur hand steady enuff otherwise.good luck!

You can buy great used school and college microscopes on ebay cheap. The difference is huge. There is nothing like looking at trichs with a real microscope. Search under vintage microscopes. Look to Bausch and Lomb, Tasco and Spenecer. I recently bought a like new Tasco for $15. Ask the seller up front if it is working correctly and if it needs anything. You grandkids will be using it.
