I was thinking about mainlining couple of my plants. Can anybody give me some advice step by step on how to do it? Is it like doing LST?
Just follow the grow easy guide. Use the web browserI was thinking about mainlining couple of my plants. Can anybody give me some advice step by step on how to do it? Is it like doing LST?
i love sativas and just harvested a bunch of Rare Dankness GTH#1, Medical Seeds 1024 and Jack LaMota, i usually top x2 and do the 4-way LST with landscaping-felt spikes (u-shaped metal spikes). I also think stringy sativas are the best for SCROG if you have a few months to wait. I thought I’d really like mainlining but it didnt suit my strains or setup, i felt like the plants were telling me “I’m being restricted from doing my best here guy”Im mainlining now, some strains that i thought would be good aren't and some sativas are working out well, go figure. A couple of my plants starting alternating nodes way too early so so far I think I am going to have a variety of grooming methods. I'll let the plants tell me if they are good candidates and then just roll with the punches.
I'm liking the 4way lst better, mainling takes too much too recover and stuns the plants as nugbuckets does. The lower two branches are as beefy so the colas should be a good size from them. In the past I'd use the diameter of the branch, if it wasn't as thick as the rest the cola remains smaller. The 4 way distributes energy from the initial topping better into the lower branches, I like it, thank you for the tip!i love sativas and just harvested a bunch of Rare Dankness GTH#1, Medical Seeds 1024 and Jack LaMota, i usually top x2 and do the 4-way LST with landscaping-felt spikes (u-shaped metal spikes). exactly what I found compared to mainline, but again its about your setup and light source; I use both fixed and open, vertical bulbs thru flower and get full plants similar to outdoor, but if I just had my CMH fixture above mainling definitely would expose more bud to light. Glad you investigated....I'm liking the 4way lst better, mainling takes too much too recover and stuns the plants as nugbuckets does.
