Make your own nutrients.

Was just researching the ingredients in MOAB. It's monoammonium phosphate. It's made by heating potassium chloride with phosphoric acid to create an awesome bud booster!!! For $20 you can make about 2 lbs of monoammonium phosphate (MOAB). Has anyone had any experience with making their own nutes? I have a feeling that these items at the grow stores are very very overpriced and very very easy to make??

there is a mark up in the industry. like couches, have any idea what that 15oo dollar couch cost the store? less than 200 bucks! talk about mark up! without that mark up they couldnt be open. its their job to make as much money as they can in the corporation.
you should make your own until it isnt a savings any longer I'd say.

I can actually back this up, I was just reading an article about how they plan on using essentially pee diverting toilets to grow crops in the developing world. Apparently it's an extremely well rounded nutrient that's obviously free and abundant. They explained that a typical family of four could sustain something like 5 acres for a year. I don't know if they processed it at all or anything like that but I'd honestly be afraid my buds would taste like piss.
