Making a bamboo gong, need advice.

My plan is to get a 1-3 foot piece of bamboo as close to the size of a normal glass tube as I can.
anyone know of somewhere like home depot or a garden store that would sell something close to that?

I have seen many easy ways to make one with a metal slide but I hate smoking out of that so I want to make it glass on glass and maybe with an ash catcher but probably not lol.

keeping the cost low is the main point besides the thai coolness of it, other wise I would just buy a normal bong.

this one confuses me because it says two part downpipe but I can't tell by the picture if the second part comes off like a normal slide or if it is attached.
I need to know about this one the most because if it a bowl&stem in one that's the one I'm going to order

This is the basic idea although mine is likely to be less finished looking with the extra bamboo and what not

Number 2 is a downstem with a removable bowl which is what you want
Number 3 would require you to buy a bowl to use with it
And number 1 just sucks, I would go with number 2
