Making great f2 seeds?

I bought serious's chronic and instead of buying a ton of this strain in the future I want to make some f2 seeds from them.

Would these seeds carry almost the same genetics of the seeds I used? And how should i go about selecting the best male?

No geneticist, but I believe you will pick the best male on phenotype........the way it looks/grows. I believe you will choose the biggest, fattest, strongest male of the bunch and that one should be the best.

Also, I would imagine that, during a cross anyway, that the genetics will be most likely 50/50. But of course, the seeds could produce a wide variety with the most likely outcome to be a true variation between the two.

I hope that makes sense. Or if I am wrong, someone PLEASE correct me!
