Monster Mamas are what I call plants that have been created from a plant in flower. This forces the plants to re-veg (revert to the vegetative stage). It can be done with clones, or by re-regging a whole plant that is already in flower. I've laid out the steps for the clone route with pics below. It definitely takes some time (about 4 -5 months),, but the resulting plant is extremely bushy, stays short, and shoots off dozens++ of branches for clones every few weeks. A perfect Monster Mama!!!
When I find a strain that I want to keep and use as a mother, here's how I create my Monster Mamas:
1) I take a cutting in 3rd or 4th week of flowering near the base of the plant. You want to make sure the plant has fully transitioned to the flowering stage. I judge it by having a new flower that looks like the Cotton Candy clone below.
2) Trim it up, remove all but the top few leaves, and put it in your cloner. (I leave the flower on.) I use an oxy-cloner - you can use any cloning method that works for you. The monster clone will take at least to 2 times longer to form roots than regular clones so be patient. At this stage the plant is both re-vegging (reverting back to it's vegetative stage and making roots, so she's got a lot going on. Here's a Cotton Candy cutting in my cloner.

3) Once roots are established, transplant into your favorite growing medium and put under your veg lights. After a few weeks (sometimes earlier) you'll start to see single leaflets emerging as new growth that look like this:

4) In 2 months it will look like this:
BUKU
Happy Growing. I hope this is helpful to folks
