Male Autos Stretch More Than Female Autos?

I have 5 autos. 3 of them are taller than the other 2 by about 1/3 to 1/2 of a length. Do males stretch and get taller than females? My autos are going on a month and I still don't see any white hairs. I'm hoping to figure out the sexes quick because I'm not running any kind of odor filtration system and they are stinking up my backyard and I need to kill the males to reduce the smell. I forgot to mention that I have kept the lights 2-4 inches from all the plants. Some are simply outgrowing the others. What do I make of this?

Hey. I have an auto going now, older than yours, and I remember around the one month mark I had trouble telling gender too, and I wasn't completely sure until almost a week after, but they say it takes longer for females to show sex, so it made sense, and the seeds I ordered were feminized, but make no mistake, Not all auto seeds are feminized, so unless it said so on the package, there is a chance there's a male in there. Oh and it's also worth mentioning that comparing mine at one month to mine now, she has literally tripled in size, and she's a Lowryder #1, up to 20" now. Now if I read your post right, they are a month old, give or take? Chances are, due to the age and not showing sex just yet, they may all be female, and if something must die for the greater good you might have a tough choice to make. I know when I had to choose only one plant out of two, I chose to save the taller one, which ended up being male, but that was bagseed, with auto seeds it's hard to tell what traits it shares with non-auto breeds, so I don't know for sure if tallness is a possible indicator of maleness with auto's as well.

Thanks. Yea, I ordered some Ona Gel yesterday because I really don't want to kill any of them. It would be difficult to try and pick which ones to whack. In line with what you said, I think I heard once that males tend to have fatter stems and typically grow faster than females which can be deceiving. I don't know if this is true or not.

Most autoflowers I work with are showing sex between day 17-25. They are finished around day 65-75 from seed.
Not sure what genetics your working with. Ive seen some autos that dont kick in until later, but they are usually longer autoflowering plants usually going about 80-100 days.

Dont chop anything until they show signs. Males dont necessarily get taller than females, it varies from genetics/scenarios.
