Male to Female Ratios

When breeding a normal male into a normal female your seeds should result in a 50% male to 50% female ratio. My question is: When breeding a normal male into a FEMINIZED female, will the seeds have a 75% female to 25%male ratio?

By using a FEMINIZED female as the breeding mother, as opposed to using a REGULAR/NORMAL female, would this increase the female/male ratio in the offspring???

Assume I have pollen from a totally normal MALE plant from (obviously) a pack of regular seeds. And I pollinate two different females: Female A came from a pack of REGULAR seeds, and Female B came from a pack of FEMINIZED seeds. In theory (Male x Female A) should result in 50% male/female offspring. Now my hypothesis in question is: would (Male x Female B) result in a higher ratio of female offspring, given the FEMINIZED mother? I could be totally stoned retarded on this one, but I hypothesize that the resulting offspring should be 75% female and 25% male.

sorry, but I dont think it works that way. Feminized seeds are created solely from female plants, simply put, it produces a seed that turns out female, once you cross that female plant with a normal male, the seeds will just be regular seeds. If anything you might end up with less then a 50 percent female count, I have heard a lot of bad things about feminized seeds, that they can turn hermy quite easy, I probably would not try to breed with a feminized seeds just for the fact of potentially passing on a hermaphrodite gene.

Answer to your question=
50-50 the law of averages....
A fem seeded plant that has grown into a fem plant, crossed with a male plant odds are 50-50...

I believe you are correct Sand4x105 as the male would pass on a Y and an X chromosome and the female (whether feminized or regular) would pass on 2 X chromosomes.. making the end result the same. I know it is much more complicated than this but in short this is how it was explained to me by someone with a degree in this area. Sure sounded like a good idea when I was blazed tho bongsmilie :wall:

Stop saying shit like that. It is not true at all.
