Manicure before or after drying? What do you do? Benefits of each?

See I kinda use BOTH techinques together. I cut all the LARGE fan leaves off, the one's where you can see the 'leaf stem' coming out of the bud. And then let them dry for about 5 days and do the rest of the trimming.

My 2 cents

#1 is easier. I think leaves that are still erect and are perpendicular to the buds are easier to trim off. It's harder to trim limp leaves. I'm not sure if the plant pulls in anything from the leaves in an effort to leave like it would under normal conditions (not chopped). I have never noticed there being a better tastes in "leaved" plants. I've trimmed both ways and #1 gets done more often because of ease and speed. Some plants need to be trimmed before and after they are hung though.

IMO, the plant is either done or it isn't when it's chopped down. If it is, then trimming and drying aren't as important as curing in containers for a decent amount of time.

I'm starting to believe, the more you trim wet,
the more aroma you lose. Maybe not taste,
but odor is less intense.
If i open 2 curing jars, one trimmed wet, one dry,
and set one in each corner of a room. I can stand
in the middle of the room, and point to which was trimmed how.
