What's it called when you grow many plants indoor that are relatively small but get a high yield

SOG

see of green, find works best with clones, and flower them straight from clone minimum veg. Or there are seeds specific to SOG techniques.
Or just grow one big plant and get the same yield with less attention to watering ever single plant daily.
