Mars 400 (80x5) for a 2x2 veg?

As the title says just wondering what people with a little led experience think about the setup

Got 4 plants veg in a 2x2 4 gal pots with a mars hydro 400 (80x5w)

Will this be enough light to veg 4 plants to 1 foot or so?

Just veg cycle have a separate flower tent.

Also have a 400 w hid I could re-setup. grabbed this led tho thinking about heat and efficiency

This is what I've heard. Will definitely be upgrading my led in the future. for now first go and easy and cheap to find.

Anybody know if I can veg 4 1 foot plants with this light?

I veg with a mars 300 (130w) in a 2x2 tent

Easily.

The HPS would be more efficient from what I understand about mars lights, however there's a massive wattage difference and a 400w hps in a 2x2 would get very hot, depending on environment and airflow obviously.

You should be fine vegging with your mars, its probably only 150 real watts ish.

Also Ya had the 400 going but the heat was way to high even with a 4 inch in line fan
