Mars Hydro 1000w LED any good ? 60x60x160 tent

Hi all has any one got any advice on a Mars Hydro 1000w TS i want to do a budget grow 1 or 2 plants. will This light produce max yeilds ?

nope, not well. Go to ebay and get an hlg 260. They are 200 bucks and a faaaaaaaaaar better light. Mars is a good starter set, but you aint gonna get great yields with it.

That's not a real HLG. The real deal is $315 after coupon code "RIU10". That's some Chinese copy.

Go to the HLG site and get you one or two qb 96(s) kits, if you get one, then buy you a HLG-185H-54 driver to run it, and that will fire up that size room to grow you a few nice plants in there. And one QB 96 and a driver plus the hanger will run you around $120.00

Please be aware TS 1000 is not 1000w of power .........

Yea, true. But as long as the boards and driver are legit you can save 100 bucks or so that route. They still out perform anything by Mars in that wattage. Ive got a legit hlg 550 v2 rspec, and a clone 260 I got from a guy out of Colorado and it performs the same. I had my doubts but I figured give it a shot, its been through 3 full grows now, does great.

It seemed to me he was on a budget.

Agreed with @Budzbuddha, I have a Mars Hydro TS3000, and it's 450w. I do, however, love the light. It's been great for my plants at 20-24". No stretching, no burning.

Oh, and I'm in a 4'x4'... and it's JUST enough of a light...

Thanks bro, yea think im going to go with a TS1000 A) cheep to run, B) only £150 and vids on YT are all positive. I would go for a TSW2000 but there £300. Do you know roughtyly how many grams i will yeaild (Dry) with a ts1000 with one plant ? Thanks

Looking at the physical size of the TS 1000, I would expect you could fit one plant under there comfortably, through harvest. So, if all goes well with it, then you can get about 450g (1 pound) from a plant (strain, grow conditions, training/pruning, etc. all can affect that). Watch out for stretching. With only 150w at the wall, your plant will try to stretch if you keep the light far. Mine, at 450w, I keep between 50-61cm. Not sure, exactly, how close to put yours, but if it were me I would start at 25-30cm.

This^^^. I’ve got a couple of the 260w XL’s and a 320w XL direct from HLG and I also have one of the ‘knockoffs’, it works just as good.

I use 2 of the TS1000s in a 3x3x6. Node stacking is pretty tight at 18". Heat sits at around 83°F since the addition of the oscillating fan. Got 4 plants flipping to flower today and I'm pretty stoked to see the end product.

One day I will get HLG's, but yeah OP, I have a TS1000 and it works absolutely fantastic. A lot of the Quantum LEDs on Amazon are not as bad as HLG fanboys make them out to be, not saying they are on the same level as HLG lights, but trust me, don't knock the 'offbrand' Quantums till you try them.
For that growspace, I would get 2 though.

Swear I'm not paid by MH but I love the results this far. Talked a friend in to buying a TS1000 and he bought 2. His is the updated version with the Daisy chain and dimmer. Lucky prick lol
