Master Kush Hydro

Hey all. Well I'm gunna start a 6 plant closset grow in march.
Im going to use this grow kit: SH Hydroponics > Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics™ Complete Kit
And im going to upgrade to the dual spectrum II lights.
Im going to put mylar up on my walls and add two four inch computer fans, one for intake one for outtake. The doors to my closset are mirrored so that will help with the light. The hydro kit comes with 6 months worth of nutes for all stages do you think this would be O.K. to use? How do i go about emptying the reservoir? In your opinion would it be better to get a 10 seed pack of Master Kush or to get a regular 10 seed pack of Master kush and get another strain to grow? (3 Master Kush 3 others)

I would recommend that you don't buy that. I really regretted spending over 250 dollars on it and then never using it. The only thing I use is the water pump, air stone, and i use the tub to carry water in and out. the lights aren't that great. all in all it's a ripoff. it's such a pain in the ass to lift up the top and mess with anything, test water etc.

check out some ebb and flow setups. pretty user friendly and easy to maintain.

haha well the thing is, if you're low budget, go out and buy all the stuff separately. you can even chose the size of ur res, instead of the dinky 6 gallon. go to 1000bulbs.com and get the lights. go to home depot to get the exact same hood.

buying that kit is only convenient, if you went to a hydro store and home depot you'd have all the stuff (more hydroton and more nutes) for literally half the price.

There are no Hydro stores near me. I mean this to be a small grow just enough for me to smoke.

i also bought this.....waste of money...there are many easier cheaper BETTER ways to go trust me.

I have an aero system, it has a drain with a valve on the bottom of it, when I test the water twice a day, I just take a cup, and fill it with the valve, that way I dont have to take the top off of the rez, which would be a pain in the ass because of the plants, lights, cords...etc.

Like these guys say, you CAN build a system just as good for much cheaper, but if you like the convenience and want it all from one place (and can afford it) go for it!

Hey Blaze, Smoke is right. 1/2 the price. I dont know about the 1K baby in a closet but maybe 250/400 heh, hehe, heh.

I bought the same thing and I'm only using the water pump from the original setup now, aqua.. something.

Like it was said b4, it is convienent and expediciously (fast!LOL!!)

It does give you a 'hands on' working raod map to DWC and bubblephonics (I've gone away from the bubblephonics part for now and just use ALOT of air in the water).

I understand your delema.

Whichever way you go, you should read up on the 'Lucas formula' for feeding.

Oh yeah, I never used Stealths' nutes/phup or down either, still have them in thir original bag.

Tried Advanced Nutes, got good results but I was working to keep the nutes/ph in correct proportions and if you use all their 'additional' nutrients, it will cost you a fortune..

AN 'optional' VooDoo by the quart should be on the world stock exchange @ almost $100/qt. Waste of money. At least until one gains some experience.

NOW! GH Lucas Formula=Less $$$/nute AND Less stress for the nube. Micro / Bloom / CalMag(only additive I must use) and one other thing, I just finished the DP masterkush. Good yield (w 400hps) good buzz. SCROG in the closet and read, read, read.

wow man dont buy that.. at worst you can build that for like 50$. Check out my grow, i have about 200$ invensted in my whole operation.

I agree with the other posters. I know it is tempting to get an all-in-one system but you really can build a better system for less. I had to waste about $600 bucks on a PC Planter before i learned my lesson.

What you grow is up to you (kushs' are good).

You can get a similar setup, minus all of the extra gadgets for much cheaper on ebay.

I'm thinking about buying this one as I already have a 430w hps light on the way.

They do have the same thing with nutrients on there for $15 more but it's only 3 bottles (8oz each). I've seen nutes much cheaper elsewhere.

I will admit i failed to read several of your posts, but I too learned the painful lesson of spending hundreds on something you can build yourself. Don't feel like you have to buy General hydroponics products to produce....All i gotta say.

im gunna go with foxfarm nutes, heard good things about them. I think im guna get a tub from filthyfletch did a lil more searching and that 2 gal tub doesnt seem to work that well.

Good choice... I got one from him too, and he's a reputable dude. I dont think you can go wrong with that choice, and I feel like a dick for not suggesting it sooner.

My closset is 6 feet long and its 4 feet to the back, should i worry about the 400 watt HPS in there? Will those 2 computer fans be enough? And do i need an MH conversion bulb or can I use a regular MH bulb?

Buy a digital ballast mh and hps all in one plus the bonus of digital no noise priceless trust me
