May sound dumb but...CFL?

I have a CFL ?, Going to sounds really stupid but where do I get the fixtures to put the actual lights into? Like you know how you screw it into your lamp at home but I just need the fixture to screw it into and not the lamp itself. I was thinking about using the dome clamp lamps that you use for reptiles but they run $10 a pop and I need about 6 so that isnt cost effective. I was walking around home depot today when I went to pick up the bulbs and didnt see any.

I use the clamp on shop lights. I get them at Walmart for about 6 or 7 bucks. Then, I buy splitters that screw into the socket and let you screw in two CFL's. I buy the smaller version because you have to take off the reflector for both bulbs to fit and the smaller one is cheaper.

Had to edit my post for a second, are these the things you were refering to? I want it like this so its easy to maneuver and place it where I need it.

Thats not what I am talking about. The ones I use have spring clamps and can be clipped on just about anywhere. They are fully adjustable so you can get the light to where it is needed. Wish I had a camera to show you, but mine quit and I cant afford another right now. I am putting everything I can spare building and outfitting my new hydro setup.

Yup yup now I know what your talking about, I had to visualize it for a second but I'm pretty sure I've got an idea of what your saying. I had several of them when I use to have snakes. If I had known I'd be growing weed in a couple years I would have never thrown them away, oh well thanks again.

Or you could buy a power strip. Plug in sockets and some Y adapters. You can find them cheap at Wal Mart.

they have the fixtures from your picture at home depot for a dollar each, but you have to wire them together yourself, it's not hard.

i use the clamp up shop lights too though, everything you want in one package, put a splitter in the socket, plug it into a power strip, into timer etc. work fine and easy to adjust.

These are what the one guy was talking about with the power strip and light sockets. Its really a neat idea I have seen them used before, you can use these and use splitters and fit a ton of lights into a tiny space. (Using a normal wire around the Y socket and the power strip because with the added weight of 2 even bending the prongs on the socket doesnt always keep them plugged in when upside down)
