I understand different plants have different flowering times!!,but when do you measure from? when you change the light to 12/12 or from when the flowers actually start to show? cheers

everyone has a different opinion on this subject , i personally consider my plant in flower when they start putting out visible pistils, of course after they are in a 12/12 light cycle

When referring to flowering it use to mean when you started the 12/12 but with auto's they flower from 15 to 20 days from start so they would be different than seeds that are not auto.

So Auto are in a class of their own. When they say 98 days that's start to finish.

Regular seeds flower means when you go 12/12. That's why they can say 8 weeks to flower. Veg time is dependent on you with reg. seeds.

No, not a stupid question. When a breeder has a strain and says it flowers in 8 weeks it means 8 weeks from the day you start the 12/12 cycle on an indoor grow. My experience has been its best to add two weeks to what I am told. Outdoor is a little different cause there are so many variables so you will see most of the time they will give you an idea of when it finishes, like mid October. The size would be determined by when you started the seed. Early may is best in my area to get a large plant, June will grow to mid size.
