Unfortuanately due to some really piss poor governance we had be inthe dark ages of marijuan since 1930's and sinceso much of the knowledge of our beloved plant came from illegal grows, our culture is rife with misinformation and anecdotal "recipes"... it would be niceto find repositories of knowldege based on fact and science rather than conjecture and anecdote... beyond the usual grow bibles by Cervantes, anyone else have any good recommended reading?

Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan makes for some good background reading about plants...

Let me agree with the Michael Pollan book, it's excellent.
One of the topics in the book is how the forcing of mj underground during the Reagan years, the true potential of this plant was finally reached. Distributed, individual, indoor growers were able to adapt it to indoor growing. As they experimented with the plant, ( indica x sativa ) they were able to pass on the basis for many strains and methods today.
