MEDICAL MJ in the UK - Learn from the USA....???

20 years ago it seemed probable that marijuana decriminalisation would happen in the UK well before the USA.
The image of DEA agents in helicopters, Senior politicians shouting platitudes like 'Just say no'
and citizens in orange jump suits getting 500 years for growing some plants
seemed a peculiarly American way to run a country.

But at some point the Americans got sensible
and the British fell more and more behind in the fight
for decriminalisation.

THERE IS NOT ONE LEGAL MARIJUANA PLANT IN THE UK
NO MEDICAL MARIJUANA
AND A GOVERNMENT (INCUMBENT AND OPPOSITION)
THAT REFUSE TO EVEN DEBATE THE ISSUE!

How can the British make this a situation that politicians need to address?
Can we learn anything from the Americans
or the Europeans that no longer enforce cannabis laws???

Up to 1972 the UK was the only country where Heroin and Cocaine were legally prescribed to addicts
Because of this there was little drugs related crime
and virtually no street drugs
(most prescribed addicts returned from abroad with addictions
but never sought street drugs because pure pharmaceutical drugs were available
FREE on the NHS.... ).
Now we are less tolerant than the Americans
and more reactionary than the Spanish and Portuguese
both former Fascist regimes!

WHAT THE FUCK WENT WRONG???
