Medical Strain: No (wtf?)

Websites often list characteristics of a strain and include whether or not it is "medical."

What do they mean by that? Who decides? I thought all of it was potentially medical. I even see strains that I think are almost identical, and one will say it is medical and that other that it is not. Is this all just hype?

Its probably CBD content, but websites and especially seed sales sites are notoriously bad including 'factual info' in their description. I would go from work of mouth or community rating to really judge a strain.
