Mega crop ec

Hello, megacrop says to water with an ec at 1.25 My tap water has an ec of 0.3 does that mean i mix the nutrients with the tap until its at an ec of 1.25 or do i add an ec of 1.25 to the tap water until i got an ec of 1.55 ?

Include the tap water to get the 1.25 ec

From the Greenleaf calculator:

*EC is additive, so you measure your base water EC then add in the suggested amount.
For example: Base water EC .2, suggested dosage is 1.1, then final level will be 1.1 + .2 = 1.3

That is good reasoning. You have no clue what's in that water. Way easier if we all follow the same standard measurement. 1.2 EC plant food is 1.2 EC plant food.

While water contains minerals you don't know what kinds and if its in available form or not for plant to uptake. You can get your water tested but most people don't do that.
