Purchased 10 seeds from VSB last summer and grew through the fall. 8 germed, 3 were boys, then two hermied (my oops). So 3 virgin girls made it to harvest. Definitely got the sativa-dominant pheno - tall and spindly with skinny leaves, no funky leaf colors, just green. Only topped once and they turned out over 5 feet some closer to 6.
The grow aroma was quite nice, like walking into a working diner below street level and getting smells of coffee, toast and maybe stinky leather shoes. Maybe a little sardines or vegemite in there. Not skunky or too intense, as is often true with indoor vegan hydro.
Total yield was 7 oz of bud and 2 oz of oil made from all the leftovers. The scissor hash was excellent.
The bud was light and fluffy - tons of red and plain hairs covered in resin. The 'mystery dad' for this strain is reported to be "Cotton Candy"; nicely describes it. The hairiness of the bud has good bag appeal but the lack of density makes it less suited for bud, but it hashes really really well - the kief collects pretty fast and the result is quite tasty.
The effect is reliably a gradually-building sativa rush that can burn through even high tolerance, followed by a pleasant relaxing indica body high on par with the local commercially available strains. Effect duration is good. Smoke is not too stinky.
Overall I think Mental Floss is a very good 'session herb' recommendable for its hash and very pleasant punch.
