MG soil BAD! VERY BAD!

So 10 days into veging and 1 of my plants is starting to get small brown spots on her leaves. So can I flush my MG soil? I have heard that you cant flush it because it will just release more nutes. I bought FoxFarms Ocean Forrest soil and 3 gallon pots. I want to transplant my girls as soon as possible. But I am very nervous that I will hurt their little roots and possibly kill them. Should I just let they stay in the MG for now and just not water them for a long time to stop the nute burn?:-(

There is nothing wrong with MG. Only the grower. I suspect that you've over watered it to begin with and that's why your getting the brown spots. Your soil looks really moist in that pic.

I've been using MG for my last 4 cycles; seedlings, clones, vegging and flowering without any problems. You don't need to drown the plants, especially at such a young age.

I wouldn't transplant yet. Let the soil dry out a bit and you should see her turn around. Once you have a few nodes, go ahead and transplant if you like.

If you have the FF right there, it is nuts to keep using the MG. Get it out of the MG and life will get better. Let the soil dry out and carefully move it. Leave all the dirt around the roots, don't try and chip away at it or anything. Transplanting done right shouldn't shock the plant in the least.

The above post says it all, just be carefull as reccomended.

Miracle Grow works great for some people including myself but like picaso said allready wtf,you allready have the FF sitting there,if the MG is fuking you around then ditch it asap.

I grew very healthy plants in MG soils such as moisture control and root development, its really not that terrible if you handle it right. Yes though, flushing could cause the food capsules to dissolve and severely nute burn your plant.

a friend of mine is using MG and he has really decent looking plants...also they are in 3 inch peat pots and he has never transplanted....they are flowering at this point and all he has used for light though the whole thing is 2 34 watt flouros ...so it makes me wonder..hmmm..is the MG really that bad???? i mean these babies have to be almost 2 feet tall still in the peat pots!

No.. MG isn't that bad. I use FFOF because I notice that it's easier to deal with, and the plants seem to just.. do much better. MG works. They grow. Never as great for me. Some people can manipulate it right, but i'd rather fork over an extra $7/bag. But i'm not doing huge grows..

Miracle grow works fine, It just holds a LOT of water. If your using the MG right out of the bag be careful not to over water, this is the biggest MG mistake. Its always good to mix it with some extra pearlite to loosen it up and help with drainage.

I like the MG organic to veg because you dont have to mix up small batches of nutes for a few mothers.

I have only watered the plants once in 10 days. The soil really hangs on to that water. If I get too nervous about transplanting them and decide to let them go a while longer in the MG how should I water? I mean I know I should wait until the top 2 inches is really dry. But when I do water them how much should I use? The last time I watered them was 3 days ago and I watered them until water came out the bottom drain holes. Is that too much?
