MH 10,000 degree kelvin?

Hey all. I had someone pick up a MH bulb for my grow, and he got a mh light thats 10,000 deg kelvin instead of 7,200 deg kelvin. He has grown before, but not indoor/medical. (from what I could tell he would amend the soil with chicken shit, etc., and let the plants do their thing with little to nothing done between teen-harvest.) So he knows plants well (you should see the garden.) but is learning our ways lol

the clerk had said that the 10,000 degree lamp would work better for some reason. they call them blue enhanced performance lamps or something like that

More blue light makes for a shorter denser plant with tighter node spacing....
Use it the first week of flower to cut down stretch!

Alright good deal! I just know some places will try to sell the $80 dollar light over the $50 light, even if there's little/no difference in end result. but $60 for a 1000w bulb isnt too bad, even though its a cheaper brand (Ultra Sun) I've never had a bulb from them fail or anything.

Theyre under a 4' 8 bulb T5HO so a little over 400w. Im going to be switching to the 10k MH bulb in a Raptor 8' hood for max light spread, as soon as I get the adapter today. I was going to put it in my Yeildmaster 6 but its not a very wide hood.

PS I consider the first week in flower to be the last week in veg, since it still growing so hard. I switch the MH to 12-12 slowly over a few days, then a week from the day they started the 12-12 cycle, I'll switch to HPS, and adjust feed to bloom as well
