MH and HPS for veg?

Hey im picking up some HPS lights, the guy has them from a warehouse they are changing the lights, he has 400W and 750W. i was wondering which one you think i should get.. i have 5 plants and one 175W mh light... i was also wondering if i could use both the MH and HPS lights at the same time for the veg stage?

yes you can use all the lights together as long as you can control the heat. The more light the better, at least two a point.

Well, the 400W is much much MUCH easier to find replacement bulbs. I'm not sure if 750W replacement bulbs are very easy to find. 400W bulbs are easy to get!

I would go with the 400W, but that's just me.

Id go with the 400 has always worked for me and like Dabu said easier to find and probley cheaper

I would say if your gonna have to separate areas, one for veg and one for flower, the 175 is plenty for veg, and then the 400 is plenty. At least for those five plants.
