MH in a HPS socket?

Can I use a 250 MH bulb in a 400 watt econo grow mini-system, even if it's not a conversion bulb? Or can I just use a 400 watt HPS for the whole grow?

First part i dont know. Second one yes you can hps for the entire grow. I put a 1000watt mh in a 1000 hps with out a problem.

sorry, thats a 400 watt HPS econo grow mini-system.

i would not use a 250 MH bulb in a 400w system. and as the above poster said , yes to the 2nd part.

thanx all, just wondering, I'll probably just use the HPS this grow. kinda low on fundage
