Michigan Hops

Next year im growing hops... I don't wanna spend the first year to just get a couple zips so does any1 know where i can buy 2nd or 3rd year hop rhizomes?

if you have a local homebrew shop they will almost certainly have some rhizomes come early to mid april. i would recommend a hardy and vigorous hybrid like cascade. my cascade yields around 10-15 times what my fuggles and tettnanger used to yield (before i killed them). just so you know, whatever you plant is not going to give a huge harvest the first year--getting a big harvest is not a matter of getting an old rhizome but rather it's giving it a few years for a larger root system to develop. cheers and good luck.
