Hello rollitup drgreenthumb here, just wanted to start a grow journel of sorts. A indoor thread if u willl. The old man and I have a smaller 24 plant indoor grow op goin on here in the great state of michigan. Knowing the laws and being legit is of utmost importance...lol. Gotta love it, anyways were allowed 12 plants each so thhat what we got to work with.

Givin what we had to work with we set up a overall 10'W x 31'L room ssplit into 3 rooms. A flower room that's 10' x 12' a veg room that's 10' x 10' and a 10' x 9' trim/dry/whatever room. These rooms are all sealed and insulated with R-12 and R-8 pink foam board, and the 2 growing rooms are wrapped with panda paper. The rooms are temp and humidity controled by an air handler, its all vented and returned properly of course, have an uncle that does hvac work for a living. All electricc work was done by a friend that is an electrician. All our outlets and everything is run into a plc logic touch screen system (will post pics soon). Its a program that controls the lights timeing for on and off, light cooling fans, he also wired in these rods that poke out of the wall that picks up on temp and humidity even CO2 levels. This is all tied in with the air handler so they can communicate. Its good to have friends right? Lol. :)

Its not like they did the work themselves, we did everything together from frame to panda paper. Anywho the lightage we have in the veg room is 1- 8" 1000watt aircooled w/ mh light and an dimable electronic ballast with 747cfm inline fan cooling it. Same in flower room just there's 2 1000watt w/hps lights with a 747cfm inline fan aand booster fans cooling them.

We have 15 clones in dirt as of today and a few of those have been in dirt for a few days. Those plants are in 3 gal pots using organic promix w/ mycrorize, switching to 5 gal in flower. Our strains are strawberry cough, cheese, ak-47, green crack, god bud and lemon haze. They are all marked with date planted and strain so I will let you know which is which as we go on. There will be a perpetual harvest just not this first harvest, we will take a few for mothers. Keep an eye on us there will be buddage.

Forgot to add the date we started putting them in dirt, it was 7/26 and some cllones were received a few dayys after and some took longer to root. It is 8/6 today and we have 6 clones left in the ez cloner. I have a question for all the experienced growers here at roll it up, do u believe 1000 watts will support around 20 plants in veg?

I am a tad bit worried about this, we do have 2000 watts in the flower room and I kno that will be fine I'm just worried about the veg growth, not so much early on but I believe we will be vegging for 4 weeks and it seems wwe will be pushing it that last week. What do u guys think?

Here's some pics of the control panel, cloner, and new veg growth :)2012-08-06_18-33-30_629.jpg2012-08-06_18-34-53_777.jpg2012-08-06_18-34-36_630.jpg2012-08-06_18-33-53_106.jpg2012-08-06_18-35-11_154.jpg

We are planning to top as well, thanks for tuning in jsamuel24 and everyone elsse I'm very excited. There's nothing I love more than watching a plant go from baby to harvest, I kno all of you here at rollitup share that same interest. That's why I wanna give everyone tuning in a good grow to watch and take all the wisdom I can.

Goodnight RIU

We had a problem today we transplanted a cheese and a god bud from the ez cloner last night, I checked them out today the god bud is drooped dramaticly, not just a normal droop after trasplanting but a very nasty looking droop. Imm guessing it might be a trasplant shock, possibly the roots weren't established enough and it just needs time? Ill post pics tonight

When you transplant do you use any additives like KLN from dyna gro to help with the shock? Just thought I would ask since I found when I was still in soil that KLN helped me out alot.

Ill give u a list of what were using, natural grow from humbolt a 3 1 3 ratio, mycro madness from humbolt, and a small dose of molasses. All at low doses, our cheese and strawberry haze had no problem...the other plants ranging 8 to 14 days loved it. I was thinking that god bud from bc seeds was maybe a little sensitive, it drooped like it got shocked

Makes sence, I have heard that God Bud can be very sensitive at transplant, I left soil when I started my perpetual just so I wouldnt have to deal with transplant shocks any more, that and I really hated relying on microorganisims to break down nutes and the less control I felt over soil. I am sure it will recover, one thing about these plants is they try to stick around no matter what.

id say we are vegging untill 8/30 roughly, the fllower room is just waiting for plants so it will be no problem to move them when there ready and mark the date down. When we get the cycle going there willl be less in there even with a patient each room will only get 6 more. But yeah I think we are shooting for 30 days maybe more, we are trying to feel some of these strains. We have only grown the cindy once and that was outdoors

Hey guys got an update for ya, everything seems to be in order, our greenn cracks and bubble gums (more indica plants) are really takin off. They seem to like the nutes and conditions. I do have a question tho, wwhat do u guys think about using a light dose of molsses during veg? They seem to absolutly love it, we are by no means over doing the mollassess just using small aamounts ccompared to when flowering, I kno the girls really lovve the molasses during flower. We just wanted to do an experiment of sorts. We one slight problem tho, there is the one cindy that's very lanky it bugs me lol, not really a problem just a pet pieve of mine w/ some sativa dom. hybrids.

Things are looking great Dr. On the molassass front a light dose would help since it would feed and breed your beni's in the soil. Just be carefull not to add to much. Also on your satti dom cindy, Build a scrog so you can train it before flower. it will keep its height down and force it to bush out and keep your satti's low inside. I trained my GDP in my journal if you want to see what I am talking about. great grow brother keep up the good work.

Snooch to the nooch!

I use Molasses from seed to harvest, plants (All plants) love unrefined or raw sugars. From seed I use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon, flower 1/2 teaspoon per gallon with all other nutes as well, then 2 teaspoons per gallon with all other nutes during and until the end of harvest.

Hello RIU community its 8/18/2012 an I have a picture update tonight :). I was just over there this morning working on finishing up the flower room, just a few finishing touches. Ill have pics of the finished flower room tomorrow or Monday. Anyways here are the updated plant pics takin earlier today, hope every one likes em!

P.S. some of the plants are looking a tad droopy, they will be getting water tonight at 7 which is about an hour after the the lights turn back on, they are on a 18/6 light cycle as of now. And will stay that way untill we throw all in flower :). I can't wait!! Feel free to ask any questions or critiqes***(don't kno how to spell lol) feel free to do so.

On another note the molasses is kicken ass they seem to love it, now I have a good idea of why molassess is great in flower but could you guys here on the forum helpp me out with a question I have, why exactly is molasses benificial in lower doses during the veg stage and how does it help the soil out? Does it help the soil by feeding the mycrorize colonies? Samuel u mentioned molasses helps feed and breed beni's in the soil could u elaberate? The soil we use is pro mix organic w/ mycrorize plus the mycro madness from humbolt.

Dr. Doogs

It helps feed the mycrorize colonies which helps them bread which makes for more nutes avalible which makes for more absorbion, which makes for better plant.

Sorry for my singsongish responce, been hitting the vaporizor all day and i am nice and medicated lol!
