hey fellow growers, was wondering, can you grow a normal size Sativa in that small diy grow box (measures are in cm), i do reallize i need some LST'ing to do, but is it really possible? should i continue to build it or just get a cheap grow tent.. ill be using cfls, one 5400k not yet know the wattage (havnt visited my local electric supplier) for veg and probably one 125w 2700k grow cfl for flower, also will install a 2pc fans intake and exaust with diy 3dollar odor neutralizer mentioned somewhere here on the forum, and some reflective cover material

You'll have to use a low wide pot, and train the plant extensively **FROM SEEDLING**. Yes, it can be done, but once you subtract out necessary pot height, space the lights take up, and necessary clearance space from the lights (even CFLs can burn plants if they actually touch the bulbs directly), you've probably only got a 45 cm left of vertical space to work in.
Good strain selection is really helpful in this small of a space, and I'd suggest that a tall sativa isn't the way to go.
It *certainly* isn't the way to go if you've never grown before, or even if you've never tried growing in that space before. If that's the space you have, try something shorter first until you get the hang of it.

i made a box last month exactly the same size u have. 70cm in height, i have 8 liter square pots w soil height around 15cm, plus 12cm 250w total cfls ( horizontal placement ). i suggest going w autos (even though i prefer sativa high) or indicas with lst. check my journal. i have one early topped bagseed, one lst ed and 2 autos. i was told to grow 2 of em at most

I would use more bulbs but smaller watts for a sativa just to get good side lighting all around the plant. Just my two cents
