I am a first time grower and have planted seeds outdoors in my garden. The garden soil is about 60% organic compost I make for the garden and the rest is black dirt topsoil. It grows vegetables (especially tomatoes) like crazy so I figured why not give this a shot. I have three plants about a month and a half old each about 10" and three more about 3 weeks old (late I know but one is growing like mad). Living where I do temperature fluctuates as often as time changes as does the amount of sun, rain and so on. In the summer it can be 80-90 one week and 50-60 the next.
What I want and need to do is get the larger plants moved indoors and start flowering them as soon as possible, if possible. I haven't read or seen much on the flowering process other than the 12/12 cycle and what to look for when it is finished. But how do you know when to start if you want to start it early? Can you force them into flowering simply by starting the light cycle? I also haven't seen much on moving plants indoors to flower so I don't know if this is even possible. I am not looking for crazy buds because they are not crazy seeds. Just givin it a try to see if it can be done. So I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following;
Can you move a plant grown outdoors indoors to flower or is it better to try this where it's at? (if possible).
Can you start flowering simply by starting the light cycle and are there signs that the plant may be ready for flowering if you want to do it early?
Any general tips on outdoor growing in this region?
If these seem like redundant questions just post a link or let me know where to go so I wont waste space.
