Military Drug Test Please Help!

So tomorrow i should be enlisting into the navy and i smoked weed for the first time in a very long time 4 days ago, i weight 120 lbs. and i have an extremely fast metabolism. Pretty much all i drink is water. And i just wanted to know am i safe?

no your not safe, and hate to say it, you sound like an idiot.. who on god's green earth would smoke when you know you have such an important ua coming up shortly????

Don't show. Come up with an excuse and reschedule. You don't belong to them yet? Correct? I was in the military for twenty years and probably got tested over 50 times and didn't smoke the whole time. After you get in, don't do it. Wait till you get out before indulging.

you're gonna have to be straight up with the recruiter. tell them you've smoked weed the last 3 months and you're not sure if you can pass this UA, but your sure you'll pass any other random drug screen, blah blah blah.

you have to be 100% honest. they won't take anything less than that.

most good jobs in the navy involve dealing with intelligence. they expect honesty, integrity and confidentiality, since once enlisted and working you'll probably have security clearences...

don't take any job not dealing with intelligence, computers, engineering, etc....you could be stuck cleaning toilets onboard.....

some employers care about military experience but most don't give a rat's ass about whether or not you were in the military. it's the skills you can bring to the table that matter...

there's gonna be a delay from when you enlist, to when you get drug tested, to when you get deployed.......

good luck.... dumbest thing you ever did, smoke that joint a few days ago.....

That is the best advice. Definitely re-shedule.
I've served in the military before and let me say if your serious about joining the force, you need to stop smoking weed, period.

the recruiter wants u in and will probably work with u. i know a guy that went to work for the cia who admitted to prior use of many drugs.

well said redivider i did time also army i worked in g-3 top secret security clearance they dont want people like that with documents of that nature. i would get a drug kit from walmart and see where u stand 1st. thanks to you brothers for ur service a nation that forgets its defenders will itself be forgotten i ride with the patriot guard riders an awesome thing

You will get drug tested at meps and when you get to bootcamp. Don't go if you know you are not clean. I went to bootcamp with a guy who went home early because of a failed drug test. The Navy sucks ass anyway, bro and I don't recommend it. 4 years of service talking here. Use the military as a last resort, I recommend going to college first. Good luck!

you go to jail for smoking pot in the navy, they dont play, and I am not lying. If you cant resist now, you wont be able to then. In the army you are not actually enlisted until you are dont with basic. So I assume the navy is dumb like that too. If you havent even left for basic, go to the recruiter and tell them no thanks. Unless your doing this cause your out of work and need a job, then dont listen to me, take care of your family.

So, now that you have heard all kinds of reasons to quit smoking POT for the next four years, let me say CONGRATS for having the balls to enlist in any of our branches and doing your part as a proud American. I went to bootcamp 30 years ago last Sunday.

you are right, it does take guts. I thank you for putting your life on the line so me and my family can sleep free at night, truely :clap:

but remember, there aint nothing wrong with be a quiter, and pot is GOOD. you cant be medical in the military either, they are federal :lol:

If you are in the delay entry program then you can ask for an extention of a month or two because of your twisted ankle. If you already took the oath to obey the orders of those officers appointed over you to support and defend the constitution from all enemies foriegn or domestic and to bear truth faith to the same I would pound water till I pissed clear and still would sweat the load. If you pass the test stay clean for the rest of your enlistment, I did for 21 year 2 month 12 days plus.

Yeah well thanks for the info, it helped a lot guys. Well i will definitely delay the enlistment and i have quit doing ALL drugs. You know its just a phase, and im pretty bored of it all. Well how long do you guys think i should wait until I enlist? Trust me this is one of the most important things to me.

Wait.

If you are enlisting tomorrow, your preliminary physical is complete, yes?

If so, no worries. Just don't puff again until you are back in the world.

good luck jay with what you do if u do join thank you and stay away from it all i dont know how available it is now but it was readily available when i served stay away from the bad seed so to speak lol

Congrats and thank you for your future service. I did 8 years in the Navy got out in 08 and when I joined I was 160lbs and I smoked a week before my phisical and I pass and then. A litle over a week before going to basic ands I pass also. Always drinking water if you are not peeing every 30 min you are not drinking enough water. At my current job I smoked up to 3 days before the drug test and I pass and when I got My class A CDL I stopped a week before and I pass. Did you complete your pisical at MEPS ? If you did your next one will be done first day at great lakes and many times after that. if you join stay away from drugs and mj medicine,but delay entry if you can to be on the safe side.Don't go undesignated or you will hate life. oh! Don't get a DUI or you are screwed double jeopardy go to jail outside and go to the brig inside, restriction, reduction in rank and half months pay gone. Good luck! courage, honor and commitment go blue and gold NAVY!! Hooraa!
