Mini Hygrometer's - can you trust em?

Hi All, on previous grows when I have been drying and curing I have been using the stem snap method and jarring the buds up with Integra 62 packs, burping etc but I feel I have been guessing if I've been doing it correctly or not so I decided to buy some of the mini Hygrometer's you see all over ebay.

Well I have put some of them in jars of bud which have been curing for about 4 months now but they are reading at 67 RH in the jars, I mean the buds are definitely dry so are these things not at all accurate - will I be making a big mistake of trying to use them to dry and cure my next harvest as dont want to turn my buds to dust by trying to get RH in the jar to 62?

Also the jars I'm testing them in are pretty full so could this be the issue, how much space should be left in the jar?

I think you would have to buy a really expensive hygrometer that is really accurate.
And even if it is accurate on Monday, it will be off on Wednesday (my experience)
I just bought several hygrometers and look at the average.
But 100% accurate... I doubt it.

I find the Inkbird hygrometers for $13 on Amazon are very close. To cut costs, I also use the cheapest button hygrometers which can be found for $2-3. The trick is to put them in a jar alone with a Integra pack for a while and use a marker to make a line on the face of the hygrometer indicating the RH of the pack you used.
