minimum lighting question

i was wondering if up cfls would be enough to grow only during the vegetative state like 4-6 weeks that's it. right now i have two four foot plant/aquarium lights with three extra 20 watt florescent lights as back up. ive been told i need to amp up the light in there but all im working for is 5 weeks for veg then outdoors. also what is the minimum lighting one can work with? and also was the first setup better than the second? tell me what u think. thanks.

i think that would be quite sufficient to veg a couple of plants.

for veg that would be fine just keep lotsa fans on em to get good stem strength, and keep em as close to the light as you can

you got plenty to veg. i dont need big watts until i flower...indoors of course
