I may be wrong here, but I think the term and grow style that your looking for and is suited for short cabinets/tents is "SCROG" aka "ScrOG"...it involves tying the branches down as well as topping, fimming and manifolding. If i do photoperiods and tomato cage them, also manifold them. should I be golden.
Thank you very much, I think I know how to setup the SCROG, I’m not sure if I can grow as many plants, but it looks like it’ll fill up the tent all the same.I may be wrong here, but I think the term and grow style that your looking for and is suited for short cabinets/tents is "SCROG" aka "ScrOG"...it involves tying the branches down as well as topping, fimming and manifolding.
Kinda looks like this...there are tons of other grow journals and examples though.

From my limited experience, yes you can grow 1 plant in a 2x2' space nicely...just veg a few extra weeks...and it is much easier to manage 1 plant compared to 4...they are like little kids...too many and they drive ya nutz.Thank you very much, I think I know how to setup the SCROG, I’m not sure if I can grow as many plants, but it looks like it’ll fill up the tent all the same.
i was going to grow Alaskan thunder fuck from msnlThere's no wrong way. I would buy the highest yielding plant that i could. And one that handles stress well. Indica or hybrid indica. A fragile, fussy plant will probably give you more trouble compared to the other. Thats my opinion
I think I’m good at training the plants I just have to think it through a bit more.If you are new to plant training, when is the perfect time to switch to 12/12 etc, then it might be better to go with autos. If you have some plant training skills or are willing to learn at the cost of potentially fucking up, then photos are better because you get better control over them. Ideally you would want clones of the same plant there.
If you dont plan on training and just would flip to 12/12 as soon as possible, then i would say autos are better, because they do just that but are able to get longer lights per day during flowering, so they can grow a bit bigger in comparison.
The problems with autos is that some are small and some not that small and also there seems to be quite a bit of pheno variation with autos in general, seems like more than with photos in general, but i cant be 100% sure.
There is no reason to use only 1 gallon pots, pots that small will only cause you more work and problems. Im sure you can fit larger ones there.
Thats a sativa dominate plant It may do just fine. I personally would not do it, but that's me. As i said there's no wrong way. When i think of micro growing i think of most bang for my buck. And ease of care. However I bet theres growers who have had great results doing the oppositei was going to grow Alaskan thunder fuck from msnl
There’s like these furniture stores that are cheap and sell used furniture maybe I’ll get a desk and trick it out. Lots and lots of possibilities. Thank you for the link also.Northern lights is a good one. https://sensiseeds.com/en/blog/difference-micro-growing-regular-indoor-growing/
Ive seen some impressive micro grows with a few CFL bulbs. i was truly surprised. i hope you are able to start it soon. I would like to follow it.Plus I need a desk
Yea then definitely get photos and preferably clones. Something that obviously doesent stretch too much, makes tight and big nugs and has low leaf to bud ratio.I think I’m good at training the plants I just have to think it through a bit more.
