Mist king for soil?

Hello all, long time listener first time caller here. Thanks for all the great tips. I have a bit of a special project I'm working on.
I have done aquaponics, hydroponics, and soil in the past. I'm trying to combine the basic ideas in a soil grow. Eventually I want to take this "off the grid".

Here's what we are looking at...
Set up:
Space: 5x5x7 grow tent
Lights: Mars 600w x2 and
Mars2 700w
Light cycle: 20/4(auto flower)
Growing Medium:
Soil: FFOF/ mass roots 707
(Live worms in pots for turning soil)

Mephisto Genetics: (auto flower)
24k
Deep blue c
Triangle kush
Chem dogging
Sour crack
The overall goal is to use less watts, less nutrients, and require less maint. time.

Questions:
Has anyone here ever used a "mist king" system to water soil? I'm also using it to boost ambient humidity. Natural humidity in the room is 20%.
I can only check on plants 2x per week so I'd like to use a 30 gallon barrel to hold water. Automated watering. Advice? Better ideas?

Experience and advice on self irrigating pots? I considered them but it seems like I can get two birds stoned at once with mist king. (Humidity and watering) my current humidifier doesn't raise it above 25% also I can use mist king to mist clones while I'm away.

Has anyone used live gold fish to maintain nutrient levels in water supply in conjunction with FFOF to avoid need for extra nutrients?

This process needs to be cheap efficient and natural.
A special request. Please don't high jack this thread because you don't like the equipment I use. This is what I have I'm not wealthy. Constructive criticism is always appreciated. Solid advice is solid gold.

Just a note to let you know that I have used live goldfish. I had a couple issues. First in California the water tank got too cold in my backyard. Fish died in the winter but I did like the idea in the summer. My other issue was my pump for the water and the goldfish didn't get along. I didn't lose many but it seems like the population went down 1 or 2 every time I watered. Price of goldfish was cheap though and I did like them shittin in my water for the veg plants. Don't think I would use them on flowering plants though cause too much Nitrogen.

Just a chime in to say what a crappy name they picked. "Mist King"? The water must get down to the roots, past the air roots, so unless it puts out much more than a mist I would not waste my money on it. Keep on researching before you part with your hard earned money on this.

I guess the question I should be asking is how do I raise ambient humidity and water plants a couple times a week without having to physically be there?

My grow is 30mins or so each direction. I'd love to check it 3x per week and let it run. I looked into things like earth boxes, they get good ratings but don't help with the humidity. Plus wouldn't they keep the soil too wet?

This little humidifier I have right isn't working well enough at all. It's a little too small.

Any help is appreciated.

I find my little Vicks humidifier (Wal-Mart $30) works great. I am usually at my grows everyday. I put it running full blast and it lasts for the one day. I also take trips where I am gone for about 3 days. So I bought 3 of them and have a timer that works with not only the time but the day as well. It will last for 7 days and my work usually only takes me out of town for 3 days at a time so I'm safe in that department.
