Mist or not to mist????

I am currently at the seedling stage of my white russian grow. I have three plants that are doing great!! When I water my plants, should I be "misting" the actual plants as well or shouldn't I worry about that:confused:? I remember hearing that you should mist you plants every so often, but then on the other hand I've heard that you shouldn't mist your plants. Does anyone have any advice? I have my 3 plants under 6 5600k CFL's right now (380 watts total). The CFL's are about a inch and a half away from the tops and sides of the plant.

PS.. This is a small closet grow

misting the plants may reflect light off the leaves which may burn them, i have had nothing of the sort happen and my babies are in the sun all day, test a few leaves at first and if they are fine then go for it

mist them every now and then right before you turn the lights off... you dont want too mist while the lights are on cuz the water drops act like magnifying glasses and you end up with burnt leaves

but foliar feeding is good imo.

I don't mist often. When I do so, I try and do it just before the lights go out, maybe simulating evening dew? I wouldn't do this indoors on cool, damp days. My grow is not near any sources of heat and I live at the North Pole.

I recently read that our arch-nemesis, spider mites, HATE wet, so when I bothered misting, I'd be sure to mist the undersides too.
I can't swear it's true, but anything that might help keep them little pricks away is worth a stab.

So what I am hearing is that it's not extremely important to mist....RIGHT? I just want to make sure that I am doing everything in my power to ensure 3 healthy plants. Thanks for all the information my friends...

Also when there real young i do mist the soil instead of pouring water on them since they are still so young

spidermites don't like moisturebongsmilie that's very true...and misting slows transpiration so like stated before if your growroom is very dry misting is a good idea.

My grow room is at about 55% humidity now, so I think I will pass on the misting for now. I really appreciate all the wisdom that is in this forum...EVERYONE have a good evening or morning...THANKS again for responding.
