Misting During Flowering

Hello RIU! I am just begining my 3rd week of flowering here in very dry Arizona (Humidity <20%). Is it ok for me to continue misting the plants during flowering or will that have negative effects? I highly doubt that mold could form here, but I wanted to hear some opinions from the group on what may be some negative effects of misting throughout flowering.

Gracias!

misting the plant while in flower is a BIG NO NO.

your just asking for problems.. such as mold and other things.

once the plant starts flowering (shows sex) - you should really stop misting the plant.

good luck.

peace.

@ Cannabisguru – thanks for the opinion, however I would have preferred it sans the condescending sophomoric tone – but none the less – I do appreciate the advice and will cease all misting efforts moving forward.

@r1tony - thanks man, i appreciate it. During veg i could not get the humidity above 20% - but my room is mostly Indica, which genetically speaking should handle the aridity rather well.

Jlongo, get used to it. Look at homos nic: cannabisguru, lol. Ok, he's not Jorge Cervantez.... Though I bet he thinks he is. You can mist, just not excessively, especially if you have adequate airflow. In my room, you can feel a constant air exchange, and breeze. I use 1400w too, I can't tell you which factor exactly allows me to mist my plants when the hell ever i want to, but I can get away with it, you can too. Make sure air flow is good, and with a breeze. Don't over do it and you'll be ok. Have fun.

in my opinion, you should not mist after flowering. you may get away with it a few times with a few strains. but you are setting yourself up for a big dissapointment that one time you break into your fat buds and find mold. not a good practice in my opinion. just my 2 cents. peace

I used a couple basins of bubbling water to raise my humidity. It worked a little too well when lights/vent fan were off, went from 20% to 60%. Daytime average was 40% with the vent fan alternating on/off every 15 minutes. I had a hard time with humidity that low, but I made sure my plants were comfy lol.
