Molasses & DWC

i have a dwc system with a drip system going 24/7 so the water stays moving. would it be a bad idea to add a tspn of molasses per gallon for the last few weeks of flowering?

im pretty sure thats a no no, for hydro. Only heard of it being used in soil, and i vaguely (was really high) remember reading a thread on how you shouldn't use molasses in hydro.
