Mold on hash. Still good?

I have a friend who told me he had a 30 gram ball of hash and he put it in a baggy while it was still damp. He came back a few days later and it was covered in mold. He said he held it under the sink and got all the mold off with a tooth brush and is letting it dry again Not in a baggy this time. Im wondering if this hash would still be good or not?

What are your opinions? thanks in advance.

Depends on what strain of mold it is..

Is there a way to tell by looking at it?

i would imagine that if hash is like cheese, then mold is good.
then again, if hash is more like everything else in the world, mold is bad.

either way, your gonna get twisted smoking it. isnt that all that really matters?

The mold seen was probably spore forming bodies, that means the mycelia are probably through the hash and the whole chunk is contaminated and should be considered a health risk. Fungi often thrive in warm wet environments, I wouldn't be so worried about the hash as your lungs after they start living in there....yuck
